Maximum Gain Antennas As
over 70,000 IsoPole owners around the world will attest, the AEA IsoPoles offer the
broadest frequency coverage of any comparable VHF base station antennas, as well as
providing unmatched performance in the VHF/UHF bands. The IsoPole is available in 150,
220, or 450 MHz versions, each yielding the maximum gain attainable for their respective
lengths, as well as providing zero-degree angles of radiation.
Innovative Design
The IsoPoles are gain-type omni-directional vertical antennas that offer excellent
decoupling and are capable of accepting low to very high power levels. They are impedance
matched at the factory for complete coverage of their respective bands. The IsoPoles also
offer weather-protected input coaxial connectors and matching sections at an attractively
low price. The mechanical advantages, combined with certain electrical properties of their
non-cylindrical sleeves, have led AEA to seek patent protection for the IsoPole’s unique
design.
Superior Decoupling
The IsoPoles are designed so that the mounting structure and coax do not inadvertently
assimilate into the structure of the antenna. This precaution is called decoupling. Many
antennas on the market today fail to decouple, causing the radiation pattern of the
antennas to become as ineffective as a dummy load. The IsoPole’s superior decoupling
results in simple tuning and a significant reduction in RFI potential. There is less
feedline pick-up of noise and computer “birdies?with the IsoPole than with any similar
antenna on the market. |

Greater Efficiency The IsoPole’s
unique cone design is much more efficient than standard antenna models that offer radials
in the horizontal plane. Additionally, the IsoPole offers broad frequency coverage without
loss of power output from one channel to another over its broad frequency range. (See
specifications below.) VHF versions include a 50 ohm SO-239 connector recessed within a
base sleeve for full weather protection.
Maximum Power
The impedance matching network is designed for low to very high power. It compensates
for the impedance bump introduced by the SO-239 connector used in VHF models.
Simple Installation
The IsoPole is designed to mount on a standard 1.25 inch TV mast (not supplied). All
IsoPole antennas are impedance matched in the factory and do not require field tuning.
Instead of the typical 25-40 screws of comparable models, the IsoPole requires no more
than 5 stainless steel screws to fasten the unit, thereby significantly decreasing
assembly time and reducing the opportunity for errors to occur when constructing the
antennas. This simple assembly allows even entry level installers to successfully install
the IsoPole in a minimum amount of time.
Withstands Harsh Conditions
The insulating material provides durability, excellent dielectric properties, and
long-term ultraviolet resistance. The mounting hardware is constructed of stainless steel,
while the decoupling cone and radiating elements are formed from corrosion-resistant
aluminum alloys. Due to this rugged construction, the IsoPole will withstand years of
exposure to the elements. |
