Cartography
is the art and science of making maps. We have a team of cartographers
and engineers who develop digital geographic data that can be
used in a variety of our products. You'll see mapping detail that
will supplement your unit's existing basemap and improve navigation.

MapSource
products provide geographic data in CD-ROM format that can be
viewed on a PC. Additionally, some GARMIN units (currently the
GPS III+, 12MAP,
NavTalk, GPSMAP
162, GPSMAP 168 Sounder,
StreetPilot, StreetPilot
ColorMap, GPSMAP 295, and
eMap) can accept map dowloads from
various MapSource products to augment the detail already on your
GARMIN GPS basemap.
Our current
line of MapSource CD-ROM products includes; United States Roads
& Recreation for detailed coverage of the U.S., MetroGuide U.S.A.
for details like the locations of restaurants, banks, gas stations,
and tourist attractions, WorldMap for general coverage of the
world, United States TOPO for topographical detail of the US,
and U.S. Waterways & Lights for general marine interests.

eMap, StreetPilot and StreetPilot
ColorMap owners, GARMIN
offers MetroGuide cartography. MetroGuide cartridges are the electronic
equivalent to paper maps and provide greater detail to the StreetPilot
line of products. You'll see the locations of restaurants, banks,
gas stations, and tourist attractions, plus much more. |

| GARMIN
offers two different types of marine cartography: Inland and Offshore.
GARMIN's G-Charts also come in two sizes: Standard G-chart or Micro
G-charts. Your GARMIN chartplotter will accept either the original
G-chart or a Micro G-chart. They are not interchangeable. Please
remember that these electronic charts are to be used only as an
aid to navigation. |

Offshore
G-charts feature seamless Navionics data with continuous coverage
between charts, which means you can cruise extended areas without
losing detailed coverage. These charts feature complete depth contours,
navaids, and port plans that show names of harbors, towns, marinas,
inlets, hazards, and other data. We've even enhanced the data to
display symbols and navaids right on the screen. |

G-Charts |

Inland
G-charts have detailed coverage of interstate, national, and state
highways and county roads, and help you find unfamiliar lakes, boat
ramps, and services. Once you're in the water, you'll be able to
see what's beyond the next mile marker and quickly find fuel, first
aid, or facilities. These cartridges provide state-by-state coverage
down to 1 nautical mile. |
