The MFJ-564 is designed to work with any iambic keyer; it has two contacts on the bottom of the base, one for dots and one for dashes; the paddle should need oiling or cleaning; the nylon and steel needle bearings are self-lubrificating and self-adjusting; the contacts should require no maintenance.
