CUSHCRAFT ANECHOIC CHAMBER
As part of our continuing efforts to enhance our capabilities and
service to customers, Cushcraft has implemented a state of the
art antenna test and measurement system.
Our test and measurement system features a 41 ft long x 20 ft
wide x 12 ft high tapered anechoic chamber and an automated data
acquisition system, Flam and Russell Digital Pattern Recorder
model 944. The chamber is currently instrumented to provide
complete VHF through X-band frequency coverage. The anechoic
chamber allows full characterization of antenna amplitude
(pattern and gain), phase and phase center performance.
As the engineering staff designs and develops new products, the
anechoic chamber is used to fully characterize antenna
performance. This step in our design process ensures that our
antennas meet or exceed customer requirements. Using the Flam and
Russell automated data acquisition system, our engineers are able
to accurately analyze pattern characteristics and keep a digital
copy of the results for use in our literature or for distribution
to our customers.
